Our Minister of Music Rev. Burt Pardue joined the pastoral team in July, 2006. Burt has been a minister through music for 24 years. He has been active in state and national choral organizations, as well as state and national programs with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. In 1999 Burt co-founded Festival by the Sea, an organization to promote fellowship and choral excellence for youth choirs. The organization has now grown to include festivals for adult choirs and handbell choirs. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Furman University and a Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. Burt is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Presbyterian Association of Musicians. He is also a member of Colla Voce, a vocal chamber ensemble of professional musicians and serves on the Board of Directors for the Columbia Choral Society. He and his wife Hazel Monteith have two children, Jessica and Daniel.
